About Hoge Woorden
Pure performances, full of energy and conviction. Personal and socially critical. That's what you can expect from Hoge Woorden. Hoge Woorden is the new stage for spoken word in Friesland, the Netherlands. It features a unique mix of northern creators and national word artists. Well-known names and emerging talents.
Hoge Woorden takes place four times a year. Presented and curated by Marrit Jellema, with multiple spoken word performers. At the end of the evening, there's also a spot for you at the open mic.
Hoge Woorden is presented by Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature and Explore the North in collaboration with Marrit Jellema.
