IMPRESSIVE COLLABORATION BETWEEN MUSICIANS AND POET
The special quality of Tagelyk is informed by the musical dexterity of the Artvark saxophone quartet and narrative acumen of Nyk de Vries's poetry, the Dichter van Fryslân (Poet Laureate of Fryslân) himself. Tagelyk is a production in which language and music intertwine and support and enhance one another, merging into a poetry meets music production that outstrips the individual strengths of its elements.
Artvark comprises Rolf Delfos (alt sax), Bart Wirtz (alt sax), Mete Erker (tenor sax) and Peter Broekhuizen (baritone sax). Nyk de Vries is a literary performer who often combines poetry with music and visuals.
