HOW CAN WE BECOME GOOD ANCESTORS?

The way we act today will affect the distant future, while the call for considering long-term consequences grows stronger by the day. If we wish to be good ancestors, ones remembered in a positive light by generations to come, this would be the proper time, according to Roman Krznaric, to revive our considering long-term consequences and return to harnessing our imagination towards finding solutions for our descendants. Krznaric is an influential public philosopher and one of the initiators of the School of Life in London. He will be discussing his latest book, Voorouder: Langetermijndenken voor een kortetermijnwereld (Ancestor: Long-Term Thinking for a Short-Term World).
