Headphone opera inspired by horror classic

An eternal, lonely quest for love and a multisensory opera trip on headphones. Immerse yourself in the dark world of MYRIAM and let yourself be carried away by a personal songbook, based on the horror classic ‘The Hunger’ by Whitley Strieber. Bizarre imagery lets us meet MYRIAM, a creature with an eternal life, condemned to constantly saying farewell to those she loves. As special guest, the world-renowned soprano Claron McFadden (also known as favourite performer of the work of Louis Andriessen) will be participating in this unique opera experiment using video edits. Music, film and visual arts all combine to create a spine-tingling experience with theatrical effects. Don your headphones and enter the world of NYX.

This performance is being presented in Leeuwarden shortly after its première in Den Bosch, in collaboration with our partner November Music.
