Storytelling concert based on an alternative tale Genesis

For his six-story volume De Bijbel voor ongelovigen (The Bible for Disbelievers), acclaimed Dutch author Guus Kuijer rewrote sections of the Bible. The stories are told from the perspective of other protagonists than in the original version. In addition, the story of creation and evolutionary theory are seamlessly integrated in the narratives. The first part of the book (Genesis) is the narrative backbone of the riveting concert featuring at Explore. This special partnership between Guus Kuijer as narrator and the young musicians from the Kamerorkest van het Noorden chamber orchestra, Tatiana Koleva (marimba) and Eduardo Canto Arce (violin), will take you back to the dawn of time. With the accompanying music, lights and video, the story evokes a world of enchantment.

Guus Kuijer’s children’s books, such as Madelief and Polleke, are among those that brought him fame.
