Love and pure energy via spoken word and saxophone

Though he originates from Manchester, Angus Fairbairn, aka Alabaster dePlume, nowadays proves to be an influential exponent of the East-London jazz-scene. The music of saxophone player – with its conjuring spoken word, which sometimes sounds like a combination of Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen’s later work, evolves entirely around people: “Don’t forget you’re precious.” His latest album Gold is nothing less than a massive tribute to the ingenuity of a group of people. The Guardian described his shows as “One of the most exciting performances you’ll ever see; a friendly reminder of the vibrant adventure that music can be.” And now you are offered the opportunity to experience that adventure right here in Leeuwarden.
