Unique music project in search of a renewed past

In search of the vulnerability of being human, Élénie Wagner and her Groningen art collective ZUHAUSE embarked on a journey of discovery in their bright yellow camper van named ‘UFO’. They returned with colourful stories and a fount of inspiration. They ducked into the studio to create new music with this. In 2020, the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra (NNO) will be celebrating Beethoven's 250th birthday anniversary together with ZUHAUSE and Noisia. At Explore the North, ZUHAUSE will already be giving you a sneak peak of their unique project, Eliën. The artist of the same name (Eliën) will be playing catchy pop songs together with her band, songs with a classical twist thanks to the work of eight musicians from the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra. With a nod to the age of Beethoven, you will be immersed in themes involving humanity and renewal in Europe, submerged in an renewed past.

Eliën is presented twice at saturday, November 23rd at the Westerkerk: at 15:00h and at 17:30h.
