Concert at the poetry machines

The four-metre-high Visual Poetry project’s poetry machines in Tresoar will be featuring work including that of poet Sytse Jansma. Jansma went in search of the limits of language, and for these machines he developed a new, personal poetry language which can be read like a graphic score. Experimental musician and pataphysicist Jan Klug will be performing a live interpretation of this vocabulary with a special instrument. He will be playing the ‘pataphone’, a self-built acoustic wind instrument made of PVC pipes, the sound of which is electronically modified.
