Japanese foursome’s explosive psychedelic trip
If there is one band that will really transport you to another world during your wanderings through Leeuwarden city centre, no doubt it will be Sundays & Cybele. Since 2004, this Japanese foursome has been going forth performing their overpowering psychedelic rock. The band revolving around Kazuo Tsubouchi creates a unique combination of classic psych, prog rock and krautrock, and then blends this with Japanese folklore. Sometimes sunny Santana-like guitar resounds, other moments melancholy and lonely music washes over you. The throbbing grooves, repetitive riffs and thundering effects waft you off on a cosmic trip.
