Nibiru is a new duo from Groningen comprising singer Sanam Tahmasebi, originally from Iran, and Groningen oed musician Jelte Fossen (oeds are pear-shaped string instruments widely used in Middle Eastern music). Their different musical backgrounds are clearly reflected in their beautiful compositions, effortlessly combining elements from Persian music with contemporary jazz.
