Two young artists – a writer and a visual artist. One is from Flanders, the other from Friesland. Although they have never met each other, they will be locking themselves up together to create new work, which will then be presented immediately. It’s an artistic pressure cooker, and no-one knows what it will yield.
BCC is a project by the Flemish-Dutch Huis deBuren and Explore the North festival. During the festival we will be pairing five talented Flemish authors with five young Frisian artists. The result of these meetings will be presented prior to various other festival performances. Explore the North is producing this project with a subsidy for literary border traffic from the Flemish literary fund Vlaams Fonds voor de Letteren, Nederlands Letterenfonds, the Dutch literary fund, and the Nederlandse Taalunie (Dutch Language Union).
